We are located in the heart of the best black bear country in Maine and New Brunswick Canada. Sportsman's Pride Outfitters operates a full time bear hunting operation. This is not a sideline business, it is our passion. Sportsman's Pride Outfitters is located in beautiful Grand Isle, Maine, just minutes from New Brunswick, Canada, along the St. John River, which separates New Brunswick and the U.S. This is the heart of black bear country. We offer personalized fall black bear hunting in Maine and New Brunswick and Trophy Spring Bear hunts in New Brunswick. Our expertise and attention to detail is what makes our hunts so successful and different from other outfitters. We also offer fully-guided moose hunts in Maine. Keith Cote is an avid bow and gun hunter. He has personally been on several guided bear hunts, some successful, some not. He had learned along the way what a hunter should expect from an outfitter and believes he knows what to offer. Bow hunting is what we specialize in, but we also have well placed stands for gun hunters. An upgrade in stands has been made. We will be utilizing comfortable tripod stands and Ameristep Brick House Pop-up Blinds as ground blinds. Gorilla Deluxe seat cushions have been purchased to make existing ladder and portable stands more comfortable. Keith and his personnel do their best to make your black bear hunt and stay at Sportsman's Pride Outfitters a safe, successful, and memorable outdoor experience. Not The Biggest Outfitter, But the BestDon't mistake Sportsman's Pride Outfitters for being just another outfitter. We keep our hunter clientele numbers down per week for personalized quality hunts. We have very active bait sites and hunt very private areas. Be sure you compare apples for apples when choosing an outfitter. Bear hunts vary in price greatly. Like anything else, you get what you pay for in a hunt. Our site covers a lot of information, however, if you contact us at 207-728-7365, I can cover much more details over the phone than on a computer. I have had many hunting clients tell me this is why they chose to hunt with us, because of the passion I have and attention to detail with each and every client that is given. LodgingWe have 2 well equipped lodges on both sides of the border for your hunts. They are very spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. Bait hunts are done in afternoon hours. Mornings are free to enjoy golfing and fishing. ATV's are welcome with hundreds of miles of trails for your riding enjoyment.
Bear BaitWe also sell bear bait to other outfitters in both Maine and New Brunswick, so we know what works and we use plenty of it.
