WOUND POLICY If you shoot a bear on a bait and wound the bear, you will continue to hunt that same bait for the remainder of the week. If you wound a second time, your hunt is over. If you have not shot a bear, this does not mean you will be hunting one bait for the week. You will be hunting productive bait sites and we are very aggressive in moving hunters to get you your bear. Please Note: A release form will be signed by each client upon arrival before hunt begins. No guarantees on kills. We guarantee active bait sites.

We are located in the heart of the best black bear country in Maine and New Brunswick Canada. Sportsman's Pride Outfitters LLC operates a full time bear hunting operation. This is not a sideline business, it is our passion. We are located in beautiful Madawaska, Maine, just minutes from New Brunswick, Canada, along the St. John River, which separates New Brunswick and the U.S. This is the heart of black bear country.
Moose HuntingSportsman’s Pride Outfitters LLC also offers fully guided Trophy Moose Hunting in zone 3 in Maine. Hunting for moose in zone 3 is a 3 week season. We offer fully guided bow hunting packages along with firearm packages. Bow hunters need bow hunting guides to accommodate the bow hunter and his needs. The first 2 weeks are during the rut and the Nov. hunt is all about hunting the food sources. This is where we differ from all other outfitters for moose in Maine. I’m not an outfitter that sends out mass mailings to all lucky recipients of the moose drawing like a lot of other outfitters. They advertise that they hunt in many zones. They are strictly hiring outside guides and playing the numbers game. We concentrate in zone 3 and know it well for moose. We hunt them much the same way as you would hunt whitetails in the Midwest, over large food plots. Approximately 99% of the moose hunts are conducted on paper company land which is basically public access land. Moose are hunted from pickups where you will ride all day long covering lots of ground and getting lucky finding moose in the clear cuts. Everyone else will be also doing the same thing as you. This is not the type of hunt you will have with us. It is a one on one private land hunt. I own my own farm ground and plant right around 20 acres of oats, clovers, broccoli and other brassicas which attract moose like a magnet. As far as I know I’m the only guy doing it. I also have access to many other private farms with lots of moose. Calling and stalking are techniques we also utilize. This is truly private land hunting at its finest. Keith Cote is an avid bow and gun hunter. He has personally been on several guided bear hunts, some successful, some not. He had learned along the way what a hunter should expect from an outfitter and believes he knows what to offer. Bow hunting is what we specialize in, but we also have well placed stands for gun hunters. We utilize the use of large and smaller tripods with comfortable seats. We also use factory type ladder stands, portable stands, and we use ground blind setups with comfortable folding chairs for your long afternoon sits on stands. Keith and his personnel do their best to make your black bear hunt and stay at Sportsman's Pride Outfitters LLC a safe, successful, and memorable outdoor experience. We keep our hunter clientele numbers down per week for personalized quality hunts. We have very active bait sites and hunt very private areas. LodgingWe have a well equipped lodge in N. Brunswick, Canada and we put our Maine hunters in a local motel. Both places offer A.T.V. riding directly from lodging with hundreds of miles of trails for your riding enjoyment.
